APOSTROPHES

You are all so very nice to me ya know. Seems like only yesterday that i was telling the story in one of our shows about my vivid recollections of that day in an english class when we did apostrophes. I remember thinking then that i just didn't get it at all and rather hoped that we would revisit the matter at a later time. Well we didn't. A condemnation of that teacher, of that school and of the education system in this country don't you agree :)
And not one of you mentioned my most blatant misuse of an apostrophe - MP3's - until Letti could no longer contain herself :) So, ok, i'm gonna fix the MP3 sign at TCF, but, i will leave my trail of english language abuse here, on my blog, for eternity, as a warning to all of you - pay attention at school :)
Hugs
Bright

  6. Well Whis :) That video actually helps - i think. So let me get this straight - the entry i am replying to is either Whispers's entry or Whis' entry and it's definately not Whis's. And if i've still got it wrong i'm learning another language or i will be reverting to a podcasts rather than blogs :)

  7. Smiles...you got it right that time Bright! Although as an educator I do take exception to one of your comments "A condemnation of that teacher, of that school and of the education system in this country" It's not the teacher's fault your head was thinking lyrics and poetry rather than concenrating on the task at hand!!!But I will say this...if you were in my class...you would damn well would know your apostophe rules!.......hmmmm perhaps not...but you would know your Science!
